Milligan’s Wake is dedicated to and was commissioned by Dr. Terence Milligan, Director of the Symphony Band at the College-Conservatory of Music to commemorate his twenty-fifth year of service to that institution. It also served as my doctoral dissertation and was funded in part by the Composer Assistance Program of the American Music Center.
